Review: First strike is that Jason appears on the Untold Marketing Secrets home page wearing dark glasses and a leather jacket, in what I guess is an attempt to look cool. He looks like a character from the Matrix or perhaps some kind of secret agent. That's a definite, cast-iron certain 'strike one' - it just looks silly, and has been done way, way too many times before, to be effective. Plus, it doesn't help Jason's case that many of the products that have used this clichéd image before were not very good either. Strike two is the use of a particular word in the title that I would personally make illegal. Sorry, but as soon as I see a product that promises to tell me some 'secret' or other, I immediately expect exactly the opposite. I expect that I will already know every darned thing you are going to tell and that I am almost certainly about to waste my money if I buy whatever 'secret' it is that you are peddling. So, it would probably not take a genius to work out that I approached Untold Marketing Secrets with a certain degree of unhealthy skepticism. In truth, I did not expect to like it at all, except for one small thing. You and I both know that it is now a very common marketing tactic to give away a free report from sales pages nowadays, in return for which you have to opt-in to the mailing list. I have no problem with this, as I never use one of my important mailing addresses anyway, so I got Jason's report to add to the list of hundreds that I have downloaded at one time or another from someone or somewhere. 99.9% of these free reports are as good as you might expect them to be. That is, not very good at all. The whole purpose of any freebie, is, after all, to 'sell' then main product, rather than to give you anything of great value, but Jason's free report is an honorable exception to this rule. In other words, it's a high quality product even though it's free, it's genuinely informative and a report that you should definitely get your hands on. For example, in this 'preview' report, Jason lists 19 'Untold Secrets'. Now, bearing out my theory that too many of these 's' word products try to package what is really common sense or widely held knowledge as 'secrets', some of the 19 are pretty obvious. 'There is no shortcut to success' and 'Honesty is the best policy' are not exactly my idea of things that I did not already know. That being said, however, there are some very, very good points that Jason highlights in the free preview that are genuinely valuable, and some may very well be new to you. For example, secret #6 is one of my favorite's, simply because it agrees 100% with a philosophy that I have applied pretty ruthlessly to my own businesses over the years, but which seems to go against almost everything that you ever hear about internet marketing. #6 is 'Don't Be Afraid To Fire Your Customers.' and, trust me, that makes perfect sense to me - heck, I've done it many times before and no doubt will do so again. I've paid good money for reports that have not offered half the value of this free preview, and so, even if you then decide that the 'main' Untold Marketing Secrets product is not something that you want to get hold of, you should, no, make that, you must download the free preview. So, why am I putting so much emphasis on a free report? Simply because I think that Jason has been very, very smart with his own marketing here, in a way that clearly demonstrates that he really does know the internet marketing game. Rather than fluff or filler (the usual stuff of such freebies) Jason gives you a very high quality document with a lot of terrific information. Maybe not everything is exactly a secret, but it's tremendous stuff, nevertheless. What does that tell you? Well, what it shouts at me is that, if the free stuff is this good, then you can only imagine the level of the stuff that I am actually asking you to pay for. And, guess what? The paid for report IS every bit as good as this might lead you to expect. It continues where the free report leaves off by listing another 24 'secrets', many of which are absolutely top-notch and genuinely, refreshingly new. For example, some of the tactics that Jason recommends you adopt to build a list of Joint Venture partners are excellent. Even though one or two are quite controversial, I would have no hesitation in using them, and I would strongly suggest to anyone that wants to earn maximum revenues from any new product launch, that they should do the same. Similarly, the methods that Jason presents for achieving both expert and Guru status in double quick time are remarkably easy to put into action, and would not be anything that even the most average marketer should find too difficult. There are some tremendous ideas about how to go about building forum sites that will help, rather than harm your business, stuff that I had never even thought about before. So, the preview report is good, but the main report is way, way better, containing what I guess you could say are the main untold secrets of the whole project, from Jason's personal point of view. But the Untold Marketing Secrets product as a whole is far, far more than just a couple of reports from one guy who, however good he is, is still only one guy, with one point of view. The package includes a huge number of additional bonuses in the form of audios, videos and reports from a large number of expert marketers that form a superb complement top Jason's main product. In effect, the Untold Marketing Secrets product is really a large number of separate products all rolled up into one nice bundle, all focused and centered upon the central concept of making your internet marketing business more effective and therefore profitable. These bonuses on their own would make Untold Marketing Secrets worth getting. For example, Yanik Silver is one of the top internet marketers in the world and to read his views on JV's and the correct way of forming business partnerships is like having the proverbial veil removed from in front of your eyes. Likewise, listening to Mike Filsaime tell the story of how he went from being a used car Sales Manager to running his own business that grossed $4.5 Million in sales in 2006 and generated 600,000 list opt-ins in under 4 years, from an advertising spend of just about zero, is a total education in itself and definitely something that you should not miss. For example, Mike uses a McDonald's analogy that is absolutely superb, something that should drive anyone who hears it to be successful in double quick time. It's a classic situation of Jason massively over-delivering on what he actually needed to do, so much so that the Untold Marketing Secrets package really does provide all the knowledge that anyone could need to ensure that they work their business in a way that will give them the highest possible chances of achieving long term success. Conclusion: Untold Marketing Secrets is not a product that relates to any particular product or type of business. It is, rather, 100% focused on making sure that you have the correct attitude to achieve success, and gives you a ton of tools, ideas and techniques that you can take and apply to your own business, to ensure that your focus and dedication are not wasted. The free preview manual that you can go and download right now is excellent, better than many similar books that I have seen selling for $50 or more. The main manual that is the cornerstone of the whole Untold Marketing Secrets project is way, way better still. The bonuses that come with Untold Marketing Secrets are absolutely awesome, and do a fantastic job of supporting the main objectives of the overall product package. Need I say any more? Okay, I will, if I must - Jason, do me a favor mate, and bin the dodgy shades. Rating: Website: |
